Hi, Just an update. I submitted my appeal letter April 10th. Today, after 2 months of waiting the outcome of my appeal (4 months since my initial application) the home office overturned their original decision and I've been granted initial approval. Woohoo I was initially excited however as I'm on a ...

Well I've sent in an appeal letter but chances of being overturned are probably none and I imagine the appeal process could take anywhere from 2 months to 4 months. Basically the advise that I was given from a solicitor was that pay slips, if not purpose-printed, require an official stamp and ...

HSMP initial application rejected - Appeal process. Sucess!

Hi, I submitted my HSMP application feb 19th together with an FLR application (hoping I would be approved, and given that the transition laws were unclear at the time, I did not want to fall under Tier 1) therefore paid £750 upfront. This was advised many times by the home office call centre to do t ...

I called the border & immigration agency today. The statement of intent is what the government intends to do and it is more than probable that WHM will have to return to origin of country with the new rules. If you have submitted your HSMP and awaiting an approval letter the recommendation is to ...

Some people argue that it is 365 working days but if I'm entitled to say 4 weeks annual leave does that get added onto the 52 weeks of eligible work On the other hand if one is a contractor and not entitled to annual leave and take random 3/4 day holidays here and there can those days be added on to ...

WHM what does 12 months consist of?

Hi,

I'm on the working holiday maker visa. I'm sure this question has been answered before but I cannot find any information

Does anyone know what 12 months consists of? Do holidays, weekend, bank holidays or sick days get added on to the 12 months?

Regards,

Ben

Also found out that Working Holidays Makers cannot apply for their further leave to remain until they've been in the UK for a minimum of 12 months. WHM can apply for the HSMP/Tier 1 but won't be able to get the FLR until 12 months has elapsed

I've just got off the phone with a person at the border & immigration agency.

He spoke with the Further to leave remain department.

From 1st March, Working holiday makers will still be able to switch into the Tier 1 from within the UK. That is good news.

Thanks.

So after 2 years with a greencard when it is renewed indefinitely it is just a pathway to naturalisation. An Irish passport would then only be granted after 5 years of working within Ireland not 2 years?
