Re: Work Permit in addition to Business Permission?

From the legal point of view, you are not allowed to work unless you got some kind of work permit. So this may lead to an interesting situation -- what to do with any additional income? I am pretty sure that the immigration laws of Ireland do not over this situation. You have to pay the relevant tax ...

was it not the europeans that first went to Africa?, WHO GAVE THEM VISA AND RESIDENCE PERMIT? No, no! Africans started it first. 25 thousand years ago, in fact. They sneaked into Europe using illegal border crossings in Middle East. Lacking proper bureaucratic apparatus required to battle illegal ...

I advised him to come clean but he is afraid he will be deported. Good advice! To make sure he follows it, you may also 'advice' GNIB that your friend is using a false name  Seriosly though, he should be deported. Of course, the outcome depends whether he (or you as his friend) can afford ...

What I do not understand is why asylum applications are considered in Ireland at all. I would imagine that most of the people claiming asylum arrived here from other EU countries. Re: residence calculation help please!

can 3 month tourist (think this is stamp 3) visas be included? The type of your visa does not matter. Visa is a document giving you the limited right to enter the country. Only periods covered by GNIB registration stamps are counted. Not counted for LTR: legal residence in the State on work permit ...

What is "temporary Stamp 4"? Did you mean you get a year stamp after you have 5 years working visa? Re: Provisions for 5 year workers

This is old news really, I've got my "temporary Stamp 4" almost a year ago. BTW, it does say "The concession is being made irrespective of whether the person is currently an applicant for long term residence.", so your assertion "in the process of LongTerm Residency/Naturalisation" is not valid.

Re: Is Ireland open for immigration?

How does one apply for Irish Immigration? No how. There are no immigration programs, no "Green Card lottery", nothing of the kind. Basically, there are several ways to immigrate to Ireland: 1) become a gastarbeiter, i.e. get a job and then apply for Work Permit which will give you the right to work ...
