Hi all
my sisters OCI just come thru as well collected yesterday... Applied 29th November and ready to collect 05 JAN 2010. Must have been the quitest day at HCI London yesterday - maybe because of the snow.
Again it was appiled for in person.

I applied in person as the officer on phone told me it would be quicker. Fistly it is acknowledged there and then. I have heard some stories where by post it can take 4-5 weeks just to be ackowledged. Photo and Signature was scanned some 1 6 days later and OCI was granted another 2 days later ...

if they ack on 20nov then i think within 2-3 weeks it should be done. Should have handed in person as they ack there and then and it saves weeks waiting time

reply to all queries: They only ask for active passport, not a passport which has already been cancelled by HCI. Not true you have to surrender ALL passports including ones already cancelled. Read notice on their website. They basically want ALL Indian passports out there handed back to make the ...
