Thanks CR001 for sharing your experience. When I called them up today, they told me that they had sent the certificate in the same post as my old Indian Passport. I did receive the Old Passport but pretty sure not the certificate. But not 100% sure as there is a tiny chance that I may have discarded ...

They take the payment first and then check the documents.

They do give you a approval letter

They return your passports. The ILR is issued as a Biometric Card and not as a paper document in the passport.

Congratulations!

My wife is expecting a baby and is planning to go to india for delivery and will stay there for more than 90 days for sure.
