I sent my application 28/2/15 and it took them 6 weeks or so to make a decision. I say they might be on holiday or so, because mine was very fast I made my application last February and got my permanent residency after 6 weeks.

Thanks for you information. My wife only reside here 35 months with some days before the birth of my daughter. So am not sure if she qualify for one.

Irish Passport for a Child

Hi Everyone,

Can someone help me here. I married to an Eu citizen 2010, WE had our fist child December 2011.I just want to know if she qualify for Irish Passport? My Eu wife came to Ireland 2008,but only register to get her PPS 2009.

I will like to thank everyone here that gave one advice to the other. I received a letter from DOJ yesterday granting me a Permanent Residence. I was really surprise by their quick respond, I only sent my application 28/2/15 and it took them 6 weeks or so to make a decision :D .

I received a letter from DOJ on Monday asking me to provide the following Documents
- Payslips relating to the years for my wife 2010,2011,2013. My question do I send them all the payslips for each year or do I just pick one each for each year.

You cannot just turn up to immigration office and ask them for renewal. DOJ has to send you a letter for a temp stamp 4, possibly for 6 months. DOJ already knows that your stamp 4 is due to expire in 2 weeks. I would say to wait until Friday and if you get no update from them, just write them a ...

I will put all the P60's in post this morining. Another questiion my stamp 4 will be expiring in the next 2weeks. Do I just go to the Immigration office with my wife to get a Temp stamp 4 Pending on the outcome of my application.

I got acknowledge letter back with my passport last Friday,But now they want me to send P60's for the last five years and Contract of Employment. I was on able to find two contracts out of four. Can I send the one I have and inform them I could not get others?

as far as i know.. if your wife have worked for continues five year in the state then she has acquired work permit automatically, she doesn't have to apply for it as you said your wife worked for five year then she has acquired permanent residency and in this case she doesn't have to excessive EU ...

But she has been exercising her EU Treaty Rights for the past 5 years by working. Yes I have a 3 years old daughter,but i thought that if she has been working for the past 5 years that's fine.

I lost my job because i have diabetes.I only ask my employer to adjust my shift for me so i can be taking my insulin. Only for my employer to tell me that the 3 months contract i sign with them has expired,but i already worked 4 days after the expiration of my contract.

Thanks Tandor for your reply. When the say " one of those parents must have been lawfully resident in Ireland for 3 out of the previous 4 years" Do they mean one of the parent must be working? What of if one of the parents is on social welfare?
