Bank statement should also be required along with the Salary letter from your employer. Make sure that you get the 12 months statement printed and signed on Bank Stationary.

Its not mandatory to submit the Form 16. However, I submitted the Form-16 and got the VISA.

Hello,

I got Tier-1 General VISA today. Its valid from 1st Dec 2010 to 1st Dec 2012. It took 10 days to get my VISA.

Updated the same in the TIMELINESS thread.
