Re: ILR queries

Many thanks. That's my bad, it is SET M then. With the SET LR route, I believe we will have to submit the applicants' passports to prove a continuous stay in the UK. My wife changed her passport back in 2015, and had to surrender the old one to the embassy in London. We have copies of her old passp...

ILR queries

Dear All, I was wondering if someone could help with a few questions I have about my wife's ILR application. My wife and daughter have lived in the UK since 2011. They entered the UK on a PBS (student) dependent visa. In 2017, I changed my status to ILR and they have since been on Spouse/Partner and...

I believe that most visa applications are sent to, processed and decided in the UK nowadays.
Many thanks. It has been over a month now that we have not heard from the UK embassy's consular section. In the past, we received decisions within 3 weeks.

Visitor visa application considered in Sheffield

Hello, My mom applied for a 6-month visitor visa and I am her sponsor. I am a naturalised British citizen. At the time of application I did not have a British passport, hence sent my naturalisation certificate as part of the supporting documents. After waiting for just under a month, we got this ema...

Hello all, Maybe someone has experienced the situtaion I am in right now. Re: Visitor visa from India to UK - query

That's a lot of evdience and probably more than needed to make a decision on a standard visitor visa. I am providing my birth crtificate to as an evidence of relationhip between the sponsor (me) and my mom whom I invited to visit us in London for about a month. The list of required documents is not ...

Re: Passport application for child born to parent with ILR

You need to send your ilr BRP card as that is the proof and evidence that he was born British as you held ilr at the time of his birth. Your citizenship is not relevant to this. Thanks, I will then not wait for my passport to be issued. Luckily I did not send the ILR BRP to the HO after receiving t...

Hi Community, I have reviewed a large amount of posts and threads to see if anyone faced a similar situation, but could not find a related thread. So, posting my query in the hope that someone would help. My son was born when I had ILR status in June 2021. But, I have not yet applied for British pas...

Re: Applying for British passport after naturalisation

The information you received is not correct - there is no requirement to apply for a passport at all - many British "natives" don't even have passports. Of course most people who register/naturalise get a passport as soon as they can as it's a handy way of proving they are British. Perhap...

Oh, brilliant. I failed to read the documents checklist carefully. Thanks.

Unfortunately, the employer letter is also in a signed pdf letterhead which was sent to me by the HR dept. a copule of weeks ago. Do I need to have this letter in paper form?

Re: FLR (M) Online application

Check your completed app. form carefully. At the time of our first application, our kids had not seen their grandparents too, but they ...

Hi, My wife recently attended an open evening at a local college in London. She wanted to do ESOL English and Functional Skills maths courses. She is currently on FLR (M). After inspecting my wife's BRP card, the advisor at the college told us that my wife could enrol on and do both the courses free...

Re: Can I apply before 28 days of Visa expiration

Hmm, I think, I misunderstood you at the time then. I thought by clock reset, you meant that once one switches to FLR M, ILR can only be possible after 5 years on FLR M even if one achieves 10 year stay, say, by three quarters of the time on FLR M.

Just a quick one. Do we need to include the police registration certificate as a supporting document?
