Just a quick one, I got my Tier 1 (General) visa approved in March 2011 (valid for two years). So, in March 2013 if I successfully get my extension will it be of 2 years or 3 years?

Yes no problem in doing this. Needless to say as long as you have enough monies in your business bank account.
