Naturalisation query

Hi guys I had a naturalization query and was hoping you guys could assist. I am a British Citizen (got naturalized back in Nov) and my wife is due to apply for ILR next week. She is currently on a 5 year work permit (due to expire early Feb) and her work is sponsoring her ILR. I understand that once ...

Home address query

Hi all I had a quick question regarding the Form AN. My home address (where I reside) is different to my bank statement/drivers licence/electoral address (which are all registered to my uncle's address). Which address should I include as my home address on the form? I used my actual home address ...

Thanks notthinghill. Unfortunately, I'm still waiting. It could be down to the IT issues they were experiencing on the 3rd (weren't able to verify the biometrics so wasn't issued the approval letter on the day). I haven't even received the approval letter yet.

Anyone in a similar position?

Biometric card waiting time

Hi Guys - I was granted IDLR on the 3rd of Aug (Solihull PEO). Was wondering when I should expect to receive the biometric card through the post?

Many thanks

Bank statement/pay slip no earlier that one calendar month

Hi Guys Currently on a work permit and applying for IDLR on 3 August. I need to provide last 3 payslips/bank statements to show how much I have been paid. My bank statements run to the 24th of every month so the latest bank statement will be from 25 June to 24 July 2012 (which is fine as it is ...

Have a look at the Form Set O Guidance doc, section 5; When to apply: You and any dependants applying with you should apply before the end of your/their permitted stay in the UK. There is a qualifying period to complete in most of the categories on this form. It runs either from - the date on which ...

By granted I meant my entry clearance start date was 15 June 07. However, I wanted to get to the UK earlier to settle down/sort out accommodation so travelled on 5 June 07 (I had a valid visit visa). My work permit was stamped (at UK immigration on my arrival) with the date on 5 June 07.

Re: ILR success at Solihull 27-04-2012

On WP with the same employer. Granted entry clearance on 15 June 07 but entered the UK on 5 June 07 (as I also had a valid visit visa at the time). The immigration official stamped my passport and work permit at point of entry so 5 June 07. My concern; I've heard that the 5 year period begins only ...

i dont think it should matter as long as you were within the country legally. The 5 year period starts from the day that your visa under which you qualify starts. People who apply for HSMP / Tier 1 from within the UK will also not have the same date of entry as their visa issue date. Thanks for the ...

Hi Guys I'm due to apply for my IDLR soon and had a query; Entry clearance visa was granted to me on 15 June 2007 (for five years), however I entered the UK on 5 June 2007 (I also had a valid visit visa). The issue is that no one, including myself or the UK border agency, noticed that my entry ...

Any advice guys? Is it possible for her to go back to her country of residence and get her visa switched to a dependent visa under my work permit before I apply for ILR? New to the forum and will be applying for ILR in August 2012 (currently on work permit). My wife is also on a work permit but only qualifies for ILR in Sep 2013 so I am looking to add her as a dependent on my application form. You cannot, as she is not in the UK as your "dependant". If you wish to ...
