Re: Earliest one can apply

I understand that. But for the 5years preceding does type of visa matter as applying early for ILR has meant that I am 4 weeks short on the HSMP

does type of visa matter

for the purpose of naturalisation, does it matter what type of visa one has been on during the residence qualifying period as long as it is a legal stay and is followed by one year ILR?

Earliest one can apply

Hi All,

as one can apply for ILR within the last month the 5yr period(Points Based), what is the earliest one can apply for naturalisation? Can it be as soon as the 1 year of ILR is up?I was on a work visa prior to HSMP that did not contribute towards iLR

Thanks

so you should be fine... where does it say 'not older than a calendar month' for tier 1 to ILR apps?[/quote] Set O guidance-Pg 4 2nd column. Krsubu, I am not saying 1st jan to 31st jan(assuming its a typo and you meant the latter was2012) as that would be 13 months. Why don't you work backwards from ...

read page 26 of the link provided by sushdmehta.. that says you dont need 12 payslips if you can score points with less number. the only slight confusing statement is 'consecutive' months payslips... not sure whether it will be an issue if the missing payslip is one in between the first and last ...

Thanks Sushd and Abhijack. The pay slip is at the beginning so I can start counting after that one.
What about needing payslips and bank statements not older than a calendar month. This can be a pain give different timelines for applications and wages etc.
