Re: When passport supporting documents are returned?

My country of origin allows having as many passports as I like. My question is rather about processing times, if I send my original passport to IPS together with the application form, is there any chance they won't return it to me within one month? That's all I am concerned about... If I allow a ...

When passport supporting documents are returned?

If I allow a month between IPS check & send passport application and travel, will it be sufficient to be able to travel using my original, ie non-British passport? From what I've seen here it doesn't normally take longer for the whole thing (British passport included) but perhaps someome has other ...

We made a family application via NCS on 20.04. Acknowledgement letter has been received in a week, ie on 27.04 and the funds have been withdrawn pretty much on the same week. Still no sign of approval letter whatsoever. Do familiy applications tend to be processed within the same timeframe as ...

HSMP FLR and SLC's director earnings evidence

I know his has been discusses in application to different situations, so here is mine which is somewhat similar but still leaves me in a grave doubt whether required earnings evidence is sufficient. I am due to sumbit ny 2nd HSMP FLR application (being in 1+3 category). Being an independent ...

people who already got the 3-4 yr extension and who will be able to complete the 5yrs for ILR, will not be effected in terms of having to resubmit the application. But whether they will be allowed to apply for ILR after 5yrs is another question Unfortunately this is wrong. See #19 in HSMP FAQ: 19 ...

People setteled here for last 3-4 years might have to go back, if not been able to satisfy min 75 points for further extension. Let's not take it for granted. Remember our lifes just had to find resources to "extend one more year" to become ILR eligible. Effectively, owner of already granted FLR is ...

Thought it would help

The following statements from the Q&A section of the HSMP leaflet can be potentially used to refute application of the proposed changes to those already entered the UK on the "4 years basis": 24.9 Q: What if the scheme changes? A: As with any immigration scheme we reserve the right to adapt some of ...

I don't think this is an issue that will grab the papers as it affects only a minority and will not be seen as a big public issue. Unless it will be emphasized that it creates a dangerous precedent of retrospective rule enforcement, and having this precedent will subsequently affect the UK citizen ...

Bureaucracy isn't always ugly, at least in this country. If you meet their criteria and submit sufficient evidence, everything should done as smoothly as expected. We received our passports today! Quick history: 1) submitted application on 5/01; 2) funds cleared on 7/01; 3) received confirmation ...

Re: Shall my dependants enter to UK with me, or can postpone

Hello! As I understood , my wife may enter in the UK at any time. She can be outside the UK more than 3 months/per year to get FLR, and she does not need to complete 4 years in UK to qualify for residency (ILR). Am I right? Thanks, russian bear As long as she remains your wife, yes :) Don't forget ...

Its unfortunate that FLR is taken 13 weeks. For people with urgent travel requirements (esp. business), another form call be sent to the FLR team, the "Urgent Treatment form" http://www.workingintheuk.gov.uk/working_in_the_uk/en/documents/all_forms.html Look at the Leave to Remain Section Thank you ...

HSMP extention timelines?

There are few premises as I understand the process of extending HSMP EC: 1) an applicant should send his/her passport along with other documents two months before his/her leave to remain as a Highly Skilled Migrant expires ( source , scroll down to section #5) 2. The current processing time for ...
