Wife's application sent: May 28th
Acknowledgement letter received: June 6th (dated May 31st)

Probably expect no more details from me until July!

Thanks again. I suppose no one knows yet how long all this new system will take. I really wish Governments wouldn't mess around with things all the time. And the poor Border Agency staff must be terribly overloaded already.

I think the biometric is required for all applications which are submitted on or after 28th feb in this category.
