I tried to send a fax with the urgent consideration form to the general number, but the number on the form 0114 259 3357 was busy all the time (tried over more than an hour). I then gave a call to the in-country team which is supposed to handled my application (I didn't know they changed the ...

Thanks ND, I am not on a work permit - I entered the country as a work permit holder, but then I went on to work for an international organisation. These organisations are exempt from the UK employment rules. They don't ask permission from the government to employ someone, they just notify Home ...

Got my FLR!

Hi All, I am an in-country applicant. I got HSMP within a little more than a month as I had a job offer - for details search posts for Novice . I got the decision on 31st of September, so I had no time left to apply before the new switching rule comes into effect. Small clarification - I am working ...

Hi Aromated, Not sure how this helps, but anyway... I got 30 points for being a PhD, 25 points for graduate level work experience (3 years, is it? I had 5) and 10 points for the fact that my spouse has a degree (she has MsC, but they require just BsC). So I am quite glad I managed to sneak in while ...

Application submitted on August 6. Application ref. number 0241xx In-country applicant, Russian. Application submitted with offer letter. After 6 weeks (Sept 17) my prospective employer sent a fax to Home Office confirming the offer and asking for urgent consideration. 6 days later I emailed Home ...

Is there fast-track entry clearance? (in-country applicant)

Hi All, So, I got an email from Home Office today telling me that my application in the `Urgent folder` (fax from employer saying that he needs to hire me urgently did the trick). So far as I understood through reading other posts , decision taking now should take 1 month max. However, I don't think ...

I don't think home office tells anywhere what an offer letter should look like. The one my employer gave contained job title, responsibilities and salary. It said that the offer is subject to me obtaining HSMP status. It also said that duration of the contract will be negotiated at the time of me ...

Your fax was received and your case is now in the urgent folder."

!!!!!

The reply came in 10 min after I emailed them.

Maybe Home Office is getting better?

ND, the job offer was submitted together with the application. It was a letter which outlined title of the position, responsibilities and salary. The fax which my future employer sent last week stated that he confirms the offer and asks Home Office to treat my application as a matter of urgency ...

faxing myself or asking employer to send a fax?

Dear All, I applied for HSMP in August (in-country applicant). I included a job offer letter together with my application, however I think it would be a good idea to send them a fax after 6 weeks as well (I didn't have any feedback from them saying that my case is in the `urgent` queue). I could ask ...

Right to work of the spouse when one's status changes

Hi All, I was very pleasantly surprised to find a forum like this - I don't think there was anything like this couple of years ago, when I was desperately looking for some answers. Sorry in advance for a long message. I entered the UK on a work permit visa for 1.5 years initially in 1999. My wife ...
