Re: 10 years long residence applications

Hi all, my 10 years was on the basis of Tier 4 student (5 years) + PSW (2 years) + 7 months waiting for HO to approve FLR(M) visa (new rules) + 2.5 years on FLR(M), and I applied a bit early so my visa wasn't expired when I sent in the application (but not a full 28 days in advance of my 10th ...

Re: 10 years long residence applications

Hi everyone, just wanted to update the Google doc, but for some reason it won't let me edit anything. I'm very happy to say that I received my approval and documents via Royal Mail (signed for) yesterday, with a letter dated 13 October 2015 - so less than 2 months from when I submitted the ...

Re: (LR)Duty to state the reasons for wishing to stay in the

In that box I very briefly described my ties to the UK and why I wanted to stay - e.g., my UK spouse and his family live here, I have a job and many friendships that I have built over the past 10 years. That info likely wasn't required, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to spell it out. :)

Re: SET(LR) questions about timeline

Thanks again sushdmehta, I really appreciate your advice! I need to stop thinking about the FLR(M) requirements. Regarding question 3: On the SET(LR) form it asks what dates you were absent (from, to) and also to list a Reason for the absence. I have a spreadsheet that I was going to include with ...

Re: SET(LR) questions about timeline

Hi sushdmehta, thanks so much for your reply! 1. I do meet the requirements re: absences, so that's good. 2. If I understand it correctly from reading posts on this forum, as long as I have all of my passports and BRP cards for the period, then I don't have to provide much else in terms of ...

SET(LR) questions about timeline

Hi everyone, This is an incredibly helpful forum and I'm hoping to get some advice with a few questions about applying for SET(LR). Some information about my timeline is available here: http://www.immigrationboards.com/immigration-for-family-members/flr-m-waiting-times-2011-2014-t77192-2640.html ...

Good news

Hello, more good news from an August applicant who has been silently reading this forum since September. Yesterday I found out that I've been granted a 30-month spouse/partner visa (BRP card arrived on Monday). However, the cover letter from the UKBA caseworker doesn't inspire much confidence in ...

Thank you so much for your reply! I guess that makes sense, although it's extremely puzzling that there is no explanation whatsoever of the reasons for refusal. Has this happened to anyone else? In any case, should I just take this decision as good news and move on with my life without asking the ...

Confusing - FLR(M) refusal but granted?!

Hi all, I've been following the FLR(M) processing times thread silently for a while now, but I decided to register because today I received my documents, along with a very confusing cover letter. My 30-month BRP arrived yesterday and DH and I celebrated (we applied 4 August 2012 so believed it fell ...
