Applied in March 2016 - Interviewed in July and No Response

HI All,

Its really frustrating. I applied in March 2016 and had interviewed in July 2016 and since there is no news from UKVI. we send few letters and called the response we got was still under process.

Why is it taking so long.. and why no response. ?

Is there lot of people in the same boat ?

Same here, applied last week of april no update.
My MP wrote a letter to HO now waiting for update.

I applied in March and gave interview on 28th June and got a reply in mid of sep 2016.

Same like all here, I applied in Last week of April, attended interview in Last week of July. sent a letter through MP and got no response from HO.

My solicitor says, its been long time and should hear from HO very soon.

My friend who is totally same situation as us .he asked help from MP and got answers from them that HO said it will be made decision in coming weeks. However, it is been 5 weeks without any response after that .

can you please update us when your friend get proper response from HO.
than we can also approach our local MP.

Ok, He sent email to local Mp to expedite his visa on 5th September and got letter from MP on 10 th September which said they already contacted HO for his case and should make decision in coming weeks ,But no response from home office so far.

And then more and more applicants are applying every day wouldnt there be a huge back log???

When did you approach your local MP and when did he/she wrote a letter to HO.
As i have a past experience When MP inquire for someone's progress of application HO has to reply about status of application within 28 days.

I sent an email to MP on 5th September explaining my situation about T1E Extension with the case nos and dates. I got a letter from MP dated 27 September stating that he has brought to the attention of UKVI about my distress and to investigate the case urgently and conclude the application as soon as possible.

I don't know the date on which the MP has sent the letter to UKVI

MP also stated in his letter that he will let us know once he hears back from the UKVI.

I remember your case particularly becoz my timeline was same. I am surprised how you still didn't get any response. But the fact that many visas are approved after interview also so I think just wait and be positive if your paperwork was fine, sooner or later you will get it.

Same boat. Applied first week of April, interviewed end of July... Nothing heard since!!!!

I have applied £200K tier1 visa extension 1st week of June, interview 1st of sept.Its 7 weeks after interview no response, still waiting for decision.I believe now days generally its takes around 4-6Montsh processing time. Its depend how complex is your case.Good luck all of you. Thanks.

I applied in Mid March 2016, in the same boat as you unfortunately, had my interview on 24th June and no reply whatsoever. Stuck!!!!! Not sure when will they make a decision, I do call Home Office every week to find out what is happening and all I get is your case is still in progress.

I keep hearing this "complex case" thing, what does complex case mean anyway? I though the whole thing is supposed to be straight forward; invest the amount of your route £200K or £50K; employ 2 british citizens or settled residents for one year; provide the documents to prove that and that's it!!! I don't get it. Why take 6 months plus to figure out if your documentations were genuine or not? Can't the HO call the bank, the Companies House, your accountants, HMRC etc?

No it was done at Birmingham

I think whoever is waiting for than 3 months should go to the Local MP and ask them to write a letter to UKVI to find a status of your application. May be that way UKVI got pressure from MP's and speed up the process.

You might have simple straight forward case but many applicants may not same situation.For example i have invested £200k in a company which was already running business since few years back before my arrival in UK.

I have to supply more docs than normal application, similarly other people have different case history according to their circumstances.

so be patient ,people in this forum not charge you anything we just trying helping each other. Thanks,

Hi Hassan and thank you for the reply, I very much appreciate this useful forum as I have learned a lot from the experiences of other fellow migrants, and I wasn't dissing it in anyway. I was just venting my frustration towards the extremely unnecessary long wait for a decision to be made, in my case over 6 months. Luckily for my business I don't need to travel abroad more than twice a year, however I've read at least one member here who have lost revenues because his business depended on import of some goods, and that he needed to travel to China to personally inspect/approve whatever he was importing. Anyways, I really hope that we'll hear back (hopefully good news) very soon. Good luck everybody.
