Case is in Process, Recieved letter to sign at Police Stn

Hi.
1 of my friend Ent case is in process, they applied back in 2012 was refused in 2014, appeals rejected, applied again in 2014 case is in process, HO sent him a letter to leave the country, he rang HO and told them that case is with you.
Now he recieved a letter to go police station and sign there, 100% its not a deception case or false documentations although his partner hasn't recieve any letter.

waiting for Guru's to advice or is there any one having same issue.
