how do i go about my Appeal case pls?

how do i go about my Appeal case pls?

Please i need some answers.
i was on Tier 4 general doctoral extension scheme visa and applied to extend my visa to the tier 1 entrepreneur visa. i was refused based on that the home office classed my visa (Doctoral extension scheme) is a student visa.
i really did not understand the home office decision as I already finished my PhD study, not currently studying, and working full time.
I have appealed the decision and will be attending the hearing in sept.
Please can anyone advise me on my line of defense?

@ ogbuka_cp, the immigration rule is very complicated, you are normally allowed to apply using the 50k VC or govt. funding route.

You cannot apply with 50k cash or even 200k cash within the UK.

But you can also apply through the 200k cash route from outside the UK.

What route did you apply with?
