Investment made abroad

If I purchase parts from a company abroad, will it be considered as investment.

Basically, my business has to do with electronics and I want to buy some prototypes from China as it will be cheaper. Is this money invested considered as investment at the time of extension ?

If you invest money in your UK company which spends the money purchasing goods abroad which, for example, you then sell in the UK this is fine as long as you have valid contracts and what you do looks sensible.
