New English Language Requirement from 26 July 2014

Post by umarjee4u » Thu Jul 17, 2014 3:32 pm

I have read statement of changes in immigration rules and need to find out further details about following confusion:

UKBA statement of immigration rules says that after 26 July 2014, It will not accept any cambridge Language test because Test provider withdraw their services for immigration purpose of English Language test. I need to confirm with other fellow applicants about following tests if they will be fine after 26 July 2014.

IELTS Academic cateogry, B1 or 5.5 Band, awarded by Cambridge English Language Assesment

And

Entry Level Certificate in ESOL International, (B1 Achiever), Awarded by City and Guilds

Please share your experience and thoughts about these two courses and any other knowledge about changes in English Course on 26 July 2014. Will above two English language tests will effected by 26 July 2014. Thanks

City & Guild is fine.
IELTS is fine as well. As it has nothing to do with Cambridge its books are from Cambridge but tests are being taken and Awarded by British Council and AEO

Is this it?

https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... hc-532.pdf

(Page 16)

Please notice they will remove 2 or 3 Cambridge tests, not ALL of them. If you go thru the approved tests list

https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... _07_14.pdf

you will find most of will them remain there as they are not the ones they are referring to in the statement of changes.
