Do I need to update UKVI with my new passport information

Dear Friends,

Recently I have renewed my Indian passport as it was expiring in next 2 months.

My current visa valid until March 2018 under Tier-1 General (which I got with my old passport).

recently I renewed my passport and it has a new number and reference to old number in the passport.

Do I need to update Home Office with my new passport number details?

Appreciate your help.

Is your current visa in your old passport or do you have a BRP?

No need to update HO if passport is renewed.

Its on BRP card. So I assume from your answer updating HO is not necessary.
