driving offence and ILR

Post by shani0078 » Wed Jun 24, 2015 4:38 pm

i am due for my ILR in august on the basis of Tier 1 general. I have had three points given by police officer for using phone whilst driving which was challenged in a court and penalised by court to have three points on license and 150 pounds fine.

The date of the conviction was 30 march 2011. All three points are now expired.

my question is , will this effect my ILR ???

if not, On the SET o application form it asks for all criminal conviction details and i do not have anything apart from date of conviction, whereas on the form it asks for conviction ref number , date , court name and i do not remmember any of these.

Where can i get all this information from???

Looking forward

Have you tried to contact DVLA to see if they have this information for you?

Hi Mate.

You are good to apply as 24 months period is passed. it will not affect your ILR application.

Thanks

the one you have is an old rule. According to UKVI new rules for UKVI good charachter , it is 3 years.

Following is the link for that update

https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... _D_v02.pdf

Please have a look at page number 5.
there is table which explains number of years it is counted for.

Thanks

Hi mate if you see the document its about naturalization or citizenship not for Indefinite leave to remain there is a difference between naturalization and ILR.
