Expired passport

Hi All

I am on a T1 visa which expires in 2012. However, my passport expired last week and i just realised this. It takes approximately 3 weeks to obtain a new passport.

Does this effect me, am I illegal in the UK and do i need to inform the home office of this

It's not illegal. Just renew your passport at your Embassy.

transfer it to new passport or just keep the old passport with the new one
