Fund Maintenance - T 1 dependant

Have another query too

I have been in UK since 2006 and been working for more than a year now, could some one tell me how much fund should be maintained for my wife dependants visa? VFS told me its 1600 as I already in UK and working for more than a year but couple of my friends told me I should be maintaining 1600+800? Any insights would be highly appreciated
