Hello,

a) Passports / BRP cards and Photographs for both
b) One Application Form - SET O
c) 12 Bank Statements - Only main applicant
d) 12 Salary Slips - Only main applicant
e) Life in the UK Test - Both
f) KOL - Print outs from PBS calculator awarding 10 points for English - Both
g) Original Degree Certificates - Both
h) Marriage Certificate
i) Cohabitation docs - Bank Letters, Rent Agreement, Electricity Bills, Water Bill - All addressed to same address with our names
j) Cover letter explaining my holidays - Less than 100 in last 5 years.

What I am NOT providing is:

No P60 form
No proof of absence as I have less than 100 absence from UK in five years
No Letter from HMRC

Am I missing anything?

Regards,
Sachin

Hi Guys,

The ILR checklist is very helpful

I want to book ILR PEO appointment mid April and my Life in the UK test is in 2 weeks' time i.e 22nd March. I entered UK on 24th May 2009 with a 3 year Tier 1 General Migrant visa, Got my Tier 1 extension granted in April 2012 for 2 more years from May 2012 to April 2014 and my Tier 1 Leave to Remain visa expires now on 30th April and as I am completing 5 years by end of April 2014, I will be filing an Application for Settlement/ILR - Tier 1 General. I have always worked full time permanent employee and working for my current employer since July 2010.

I have 4 questions apart from the documents I will be providing
1) What is KOL from KOL - Print outs from PBS calculator awarding 10 points for English
2) Do I really need to provide P60 forms and if yes for how many years?
3) Do I need to show Deposit/maintenance of Funds for ILR like I did for Initial Application in 2009 / Tier 1 extension in April 2012?
4) What is the fees for PEO and how do I apply this online? Can anyone paste any links so I can apply from UKBA/Gov.uk website

Documents I will be providing are, Can someone check this please
a) Passport, Biometric residence permits card and 2 Passport size Photographs with my names printed at the back
b) One Application Form - SET O
c) 12 Bank Statements
d) 12 Salary Slips
e) Life in the UK Test
f) KOL - Print outs from PBS calculator awarding 10 points for English - Both
g) Original Degree Certificates, my university is listed in the PBS Calculator
h) Cover letter explaining my Business holidays - This is 9 months in the last 4 years for which my company will provide a proof on their Letter Head with Gross & Net Pay for last 1 year signed by HR Director. This will be matching my Pay Slip and also Bank Statement
i) Payment Sheet printout of PEO Appointment

Can someone please let me know.

Your help is much appreciated.

Thank you very much

Best Regards
Jordon

Hi Guys,

ILR approved on Friday. I just provided the documents that I listed above. I did not provide any P60 or absence proof (leave less than 180 in 5 years) or any letter from HMRC.

Jordon,

P60 is not required. Print-outs awarding you 10 points for english for your qualification is fine. I did the same.

I am not sure if you can apply online. I booked PEO appointment and paid upfront fee of around £2589 approximately for main and one dependent.

I am applying for myself only at the moment but would apply my wife ILR once I get mine sorted.

I am submitting following documents : please let me know if there is anything I am missing.

1. Bank Statements x 12

3. Employment letter from previous and current employer x 2
4. Original Degree Certificate

6. One Biometric card (Tier one) visa
7. Life in the UK test certificate

Hi everyone

Need urgent help!

I will be completed my Tier 1 General 5 years on 24th Aug 2014. Wife came to UK on 9th Feb 2011 and No major (more than 180 days) gaps during this period. I have two children ageing 2 years one as my dependent but one's passport has not been made yet since he is infant. I will kept £3500 as a maintenance fund for 90 days on a safe side.

Two options:

1) I have done my Life in UK test. Will my wife and child need to apply with me or should my wife apply without giving Life in UK test and English Language as extension to her visa as my dependent.

2) If she completes her Life in UK test + IELTS and then apply with my for ILR. But we have only 1 month left to apply so this might not be workable. In this case, can my wife still apply with me as an extension of her dependent visa?

Your expert advise required on both options and also that for ILR my assessment would be on previous point basis criteria, without my age to be consider, then will I need to show higher band of income to score require point or will it automatically takes the points scored previously (if no changes occurred) for the application.

Many thanks for the help.

Kind regards

I don't think she requires to do life in the uk test or English in order to get extension.

Yes you can extend her visa but in order to get ilr she needs to pass both tests

It checks your age when you were first granted tier 1. It doesn't matter how old are you now ..

Many thanks for the help.

Many thanks mate.

So all I would require is to resubmit with the new set of application form and latest documents to get my ILR visa? What application form should I use for my wife to give her extension along with my ILR? What status will be of my dependent daughter who is 2 years old and born in UK but has Pakistani passport and visa? Should I apply with the similar application for as of my wife?

Kind regards

Hi Saqib,

If you are Tier 1 general visa then you need to use "Set O" form.

Things to consider:

1.if your wife visa is not expiring in August then why don't you get your ILR via PEO and once you get your ILR then post her ILR application.

2. You still got plenty of time in order to get her passed life in the uk test and english ESOL test.

so why you want to waste your money for extenions.

3. if your daugher born in the UK then you apply her citizenship once you get ILR , you don't need to take her extension or ILR unless you have some travel plan.

Hope it helps
