Tier 1 General and NHS treatment

Post by ozi8500 » Thu Jul 17, 2014 10:56 am

Hi all,

I wonder if any one can help?

I'm on Tier 1 general visa and wants to check that if I go for a medical treatment/procedure through NHS, do i have to pay for it or is it free?

Thanks...

Yes you are eligible and it is free (ie., covered by the taxes/NI you pay through your economic contribution) Go and register in your local GP, with a copy of your passport and visa.

Thank you for your quick reply. I'm aware that GP consultation is free but if I have to got for a procedure/operation is that free as well ?

Thanks again
