Tier 1(General) Dependent ext.- Health Surcharge Application

Post by Comeonwales » Fri Sep 25, 2015 6:48 pm

Hello Guys,
Please help me with this health surcharge.
I am going to apply for my wife extension as PBS tier 1 general dependent.
I got ILR this month
My wife only been in this country 2 years and 3 months she is not qualified for ILR at the moment.
So when I filled in health surcharge application form , filled main applicant details section with passport number and expiry date ( I got visa until Dec 2024) then it showing surcharge as ZERO and gave me IHS Number as well ????? I am shocked and kind of happy ........?..
BUT I thought I should pay £600 ( she will get visa for 3 years , £200/year as you all know)

Now i am confused ???? Not sure can go with that number or do I have to contact UKVI to make sure it's all correct ??
Please advise
Many thanks
J

Hi Comeonwales,
I'm in similar situation as you. I got my ILR (via Tier 1 G route) valid till Dec 2024.
I'm applying for Tier 1 G Dependent extension for my wife as she is not eligible for ILR yet (She is falling short by 5 months).
When i filled in the NHS surcharge application it calculated IHS as 1600 which I think is because it calculated based on main applicant's visa end date (8 years 2016-2024).
What would you advise us on this?
Many thanks in advance.
