Yes I attended interview. It lasted only 15 minutes, not sure in which direction it will result.
Questions were
[] Current Visa status
[1] Current employment status
[2] education
[3] Is your work related to your education
[4] Current job details, whether you self employed or employed
[5] Current annual income, business office location, monthly expenses for business, no of employees
[6] last 12 months income

last 12 months income was bouncy for me as in my application I had shown only permanent job income that ended in Jul2014.
I made it clear that I am not showing my last 12 months in come in this application but they were keen on only knowing the last 12 months income. I roughly calculated and stated that.
Hope it works out well.

Best of of luck to you.
Hi Pravin,

I hope you get through this successfully.

Just a little query, were you asked to produce any further documentation? specially for the self employment income.

I too have an interview on 26th Feb at London VAC. I am director of a limited company with earning (salary + Dividend) shown from Jan14 to Dec14. I was giving salary to my wife from Jan14 to May14, and then my wife returned the salary for April and May, as it was too close to affect my earnings.
Is it illegal to give salary to spouse and then return it to the company? I think it is because of this they have asked for interview, no other reason I can think of. I had submitted the Management accounts too

Hi Latheef,

I hope you attended interview and everything went well. Could you please share details about interview, same standard questions or any new questions asked..? Did you ask them any questions..? when you are expecting your visa and documents..?

thanks in Advance..

Hi,

It was same questions as pravin. The video chat is not interactive as interviewer is not the case worker, she may repeat the same questions.
One question she asked me extra is ' How my work benefit the public?'

I received letter today to attend interview on 26-Feb at London VFS office.
Strange, not been asked for any of the Visa processing centers.
Is this general norm?
Most of the threads I read, people attended interview in Sheffield/Crydon etc.
Hi Pravin,
I hope you attended the interview and everything went well...!!!
Can you please share with us how was the interview and what were the questions you faced, anything related to your income/early extension.
I am also self employed (salary + dividends) for the last 4 years, my current visa expiry on 1st Sept 2015, applied for 2nd extentsion on 2nd feb 2015.
Appreciate your early reply.
Thank you in advance...
Hi mywork19,
I just received the first letter, stating that I will be called for interview, today.
Have you been interviewed yet? or Have you received the invitational letter & does it states the reason for this call? Any further document that they might have asked?
I am also working through Ltd company since almost 4 years and got my first extension showing income from my limited company only.

hi Nabeel,

Yes, I got my interview letter scheduled for 11th. No reason for call and just asked me carry NI card. I think this is same process for everybody whoever got the letter for interview. They don't accept any new documents.

I hope you got your interview scheduled letter by this time, I wish you all the very best.
thank you..

Hi Guys,

I have given my interview today. Below are the set of questions asked to me. There are asking from a standard template.

- Name, Address, Current Visa status
- Current employment status
- Education
- Is your work related to your education
- Current job details, whether you self employed or employed, how many hours do you work in a week, what days do you work, Ur job role, who is your accountant, how much do you pay to him, what details do you share with him, business premises rent, have you registered your business with companies house, form how long are you employed, work experience,
- Current annual income, business office location, monthly expenses for business, no of employees
- last 12 months income

At the end I asked about why am I called for interview as I have got very straight case with all documents. Interviewer said that "It is a random call to people and no need to worry".

I asked about when can I expect the response and Interviewer said that It will take few weeks and I will receive a letter from HO.

Pravin,
It has no other letter. All my documents in the return Delivery gray cover which I sent when applying.
Did you got it your approval letter separately or with the documents you sent with?

Hi All,

I have attended my interview today in VFS office london, it was for 18 to 20 minutes. Pretty much same questions as above, couple of other questions what they asked me as below.

Company annual income/turnover
Current client and previous client
All other questions are same as others.

@fnabeel
If we answer fast they will ask you to repeat or slow down but they never ask you to give exact income/expenses/tax details... you can give close figures for income/expenses/business premise rent etc.
They said it will couple of weeks to process the application, lets hope for the best.

@ om.feb.26 , Sriv , Praveen and Lateef
Thank you very much for quick updates and kind & positive words.

I wish you all the very best

This post might be redundant (as most of the information is already posted). But, I still wanted to add my 5 cents.

Background:
  • Employed till Oct 2013.
    Self-employed (IT-Contractor) from Nov 2013.
Sole director of a limited company with 2 shareholders (50:50)
Application details:
  • Applied for renewal on Jan 2015.
Got a letter to do the biometrics in 2 weeks’ time.
In about 10 days (after biometrics), I got a letter stating that they would want to interview me & that more info will follow.
I got email in 2/3 weeks’ time detailing the interview date & time. It had also asked me to confirm that I would attend the same (which I did by email).

I was a little concerned about the interview, but I did not have anything to worry about, as my case was straight forward (at-least to me), which met all criteria.

According to me, the only thing that might be an issue was “I submitted only the past 9 months stmts / payslips / dividend vouchers”. [Reason: I did not take any salary before that (for tax efficiency)]

Please note that interview letter states that they will not accept any document and I cant refer to any documents while at the interview. But, I took my recent personal & business bank stms. I also took some more documents that might aid them confirm the information that I had provided previously, as authentic. I had it with me just in case.

On the interview day: VSF London office (Battleship building)
To my surprise, when I was called in, it was a telephonic / webcam call (kind of Skye call). So, all the extra supporting documents were useless. [by now you would have guessed, that I never read any forums… ]

Actual interview (many questions were repeated):
  • Confirm your name & DOB
Do you know why you are here for?
    Current Visa status
Whom do you work for? * 3 times
    What’s your qualification?
How does you qualification relate to your work?
When was your company started? * 3 times
    Name of your limited company
    What’s the company’s annual turnover?
    Monthly expense for the company
How many people does the company employ?
    What’s your monthly / annual salary? * 3 times
Does your company get any other income apart from the IT contract work that you do?
How many hours do you work per week? * 3 times
Accountant name and how much I pay them monthly.
What all does your accountant know about your business?
Do you have any other income?
Do you have any question for me (interviewer)?
The interview was over in 20 mins.

All the best.

mine was at padington VFS, it was on 26th Feb and video conference. If all submitted docs meet the requirement then I think no need to worry.
