Tier 1 General Extension with Overseas income

Hi,
I have query regarding following situation for Tier 1 General extension for a friend:
Tier 1 General First applied - 23rd Mar 2010
Tier 1 General start date: 7th Apr 2010
First Extension done in March 2013 based on UK earnings. The same is Valid till 6th Apr 2015

Out of the country from 25th Sept 2012 till 15th Feb 2015, had come to UK in March 2013 for 2-3 days just for the extension.
Now back in UK from last 2 weeks and currently working here. Need to apply for the Tier 1 extension now.

Is extension valid based on overseas income without an uplift as have enough points based on the same. In terms of maintenance funds, can the same be shown in a Canadian Bank account?

Please suggest. Appreciate your help on the same.
