Tier 1 tax amendments deception

Post by sikandar12547 » Tue Mar 15, 2016 11:49 am

I have been granted Tier 1 leave in March 2011. I had showed my accounts for self employment from March 2010 to Feb 2011. I declared income 40400 (self employment: £17206 & Employment £23194) to UKBA from March2010 to Feb 2011. Tax return has been filed to HMRC as follows.
Self Employment Profit :15006 (decreased due to expenses incured in March 2011)
Employment: 24394
Total: 39400
Income Threshold required was £35000
Kindly advise if I will be rquired to amend the accounts ?

I think the tax submission to HMRC falls on the whole financial year and there will be differences due to expenses. I cant see any point on amending a genuine tax return .

WillCan they put deception on me as the self employment income has been decreased to 15k from 17K but the overall income (£39k) is still above the threshold of £35k.

Well no one can tell they put deception in your case or not. And deception is not a joke i don't understand why you all invite them for putting deception in your cases... if you are genuine than don't worry no one can prove you have made deception in your previous application. Be confident and show your genuine dox to them. And stop using deception word in your posts....its look like instead of someone is genuine still inviting home office to put deception in his own case.

You are the best lawyer in your own case and you know better what you have done in your initial application.
So do what best in your favor.

Thanks

hi sikandar12547,

as my experience one of my friend recently applied ILR and where he made sure to submit all the previous tax returns exactly same as he presented to UKVI in his previous visa applications.

he didn't aware about Self Tax Return, at last moment he submitted backward everything and paid relevant tax.he got his IRL granted.

better to match everything exactly what you submitted. because i know some one visa been rejected just for £200 difference. find a good accountant. then they will help you.

hope this would be helpful for you question.

@nethu82 I will be surprised if someone's visa rejected because of £200/- difference unless that £200/- difference comes below that persons salary threshold... if not I don't see any issue...

were you run your business in company capacity or sole trader? how didnt you reduce profit.

only allowable expenses can be deducted from income.

normally profit come out after deducting all the expenses.
