i cant direct you to anywhere to back up my claim but i always thought/believe 20 hrs a week is a 7-day week, not 5-day week as far as the working condition for students is concerned.

If u have indeed been working only 20 hours a week, then why worry.. Not only the UKBA but the whole world believes a whole week is just 7 days.. this friday to saturday thingy makes it 8 days and nobody except maybe ur company is gonna count that as a week..

the rules state 20 hours per week-over 7 days. I dont think you can take an average over a tax year and use it as evidence-but you can try. For example if you worked 25 hours in one week and 15 hours the following week it may be considered. if your employer knew u had a 20 hour limit and paid you for extra wokr than they can be fined.

I don't think it works that way because then you can work full time ( 40 hours a week ) for six months and that will make it 20 hours a week for the year.

Ya, but if you include your NI, they will checkup and pin you down if you defaults
