For Application from India, i assume a TB certificate is mandatory.

Can someone please share information on :

q) How long does the TB test take ?

Many thanks in Advance
q) How long does the TB test take ? - Test takes 5 mins maximum. You may need to wait for an hour for your turn to go through the test though. After the test is complete, you may have to wait again for half an hour to collect the report and certificate

q) Approx cost for the TB test ? INR 1500 as of June 2013 (GBP 15 approx)

q) How long does it take to receive the TB test result please ? If your tests are clear, you will get the test result and the certificate right after your test (The whole process usually takes 1-2 hours)

Please note that there are specified clinics/hospitals from where you have to go through the test.
List of such hospitals, for India, can be found here:

@badhwarvikas

Hi,

Is fast track processing available for Tier 2 as well ?
I was under the assumption that, it is applicable only for Visit visa.

How many days earlier did the visa get processed through the "Fast Track" compared to standard processing ?

Is it just the extra fee that needs to be paid of fast track or any additional documents needed as well ?

Regards
aja

Thank you :D @urfrnd I was asked all the questions that bala posted previously:

Who is the contact person?
How did you apply this opportunity?
How did you get to know about the opportunity?
How did the Employer contact me?
How about the project details? your role?
What are the certifications that you hold?
Tell me about your sponsor?
Who took your interview?
How many rounds of interview?
Where would you stay in UK?
Where is your office in UK?
Current employee details?
What do you do for them?
What is the intended date of travel?
How about accommodation status? Will the Employer provide you?

This forum was of great help during the process. Thank you all once again :)

Does it matter to fill the Tier 2 online application in capital letter or normal case is fine?

Thanks.

I've been desperately waiting for the last more than a month. What I expected to get in 5 days (I paid for Priority Visa + Premium Lounge) has been about a month and a half and still counting! It's extremely frustrating and this has disrupted all my plans like accommodation, resigning at my current employer among others. Waiting... !?! :(

1. Category applying under - Tier 2 General Migrant [Myself + Dependents]
2. Country of application - UAE
3. City of Visa Application Centre - VFS Abu Dhabi
4. Date of online application - 29th April 2014
5. Date of submission of documents and Biometrics - 1st May 2014
6. Date Entry Clearance valid from - Waiting
7. Duration for Entry Clearance - Waiting
8. Date passport received - Waiting

Each time I call / enquire UKVI say "the application is under processing while additional enquiry is being conducted".

10th June 2014 update: Got a phone call from UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI) office in Abu Dhabi who asked a few basic questions like motive of the move and where I intend to stay in UK. The lady officer said the decision will be made the same day or the following day.

Let's say the decision is made on 10th itself, when will they send the Passports back to VFS? Please share experience in number of days of receiving passport after the day decision was made. Any UAE specific timelines would be even more appreciated.

@jini1515

In India, the process is to deliver the passport and other documents to the address which you mentioned while submitting the documents and we pay INR 300 for this service.

If you have also opted for this courier service while filing application in Abu Dhabi then it should come to your address else it will go to VFS and you can collect from there.

Thanks.

11th June 2014 update: Got e-mail from: 3G Un-Cleared <abdhaVisaInfo@fco.gov.uk>

"Your application has been resolved and will shortly be returned to our commercial partner. This does not mean that your documents are ready to collect: Please await confirmation of this, or follow the collection instructions you have already been given."

I think by commercial partner they mean VFS Abu Dhabi. Hopefully all this info will valuable for those sailing in the same boat.
