PS : I got the email on 30th may, 2016 that consulate has taken decision and will now be forwarded to VFS centre. In reality, there is a second email that comes that your passport is now available for collection. However, we reached VFS today second half and got the passport . All the best to everyone.

Applied online and paid for 3 to 5 day priority service.

At the time of submission, wife got told that priority service does not apply. She argued with VFS and said that since UKVI and VFS website permitted this to be paid, the service is valid and got VFS to process it as a priority visa as I had to return to work on the 20th. VFS added a note on the application asking the visa to be expedited.

My passport and biometric card was held at VFS despite my wife asking for it back.

Got an e-mail the day after submitting documents that the visa is under consideration by the high commission.

Got a call on 16th June around 2pm saying that visa is ready for collection. VFS had said that my wife would get a text message/email. This didnt happen. Only got the phone call.

Since I hadnt heard anything regarding the visa, I also had called the UKVI phone line on the 16th. They said that a decision had been made on the 15th June and would need to wait for 2 to 3 working days to get the documents back.

Received email today 7/11 saying that my case has been assigned to a decision making officer in Bogota, Colombia (the decision center). That was fast, only 1 day after they received it. The VFS Panama site says it should be 5 days (but the Bogota site says 10 days).

I hope I get it sometime this week, need to be in the UK by the 25th.

-- Got an email for main applicant on 02nd May 2017- No English language certificate is attached. Please send within 5 working days.
--Got an email for spouse on 02nd May 2017- No Marriage certificate is attached within 5 working days( we have submitted the marriage certificate in VFS centre though)

--I have sent the marriage certificate on 03rd May for my spouse's application.
--I have sent the UKNARIC English language certificate on 04th May for my main applicant's application.
On the same day I have received 3 separate system generated emails on 04th saying they aim to provide a decision within 15 working days but your case was not straightforward so we will not be able to send a decision within that time frame.
