The RLMT is not required for anyone with your immigration status. Whether you are currently working for the sponsor is not a determining factor.

That's very likely in your case, but generally it would depend on the salary or whether the skill was considered (officially) to be in short supply in the resident labour pool. All of this can be found on the UKBA site.

Do you mean the salary that is exempt from the RLMT? That would be 150K

I mean minimum salary required to get 20 points out of 70 for Tier 2 Application. As I said before according to UKBA website it is £20K but I've heard that according to the recent changes it is £29K.

For Certificate of Sponsorship - 30points
English Language. - 10points
Maintenance of Funds. - 10points
Appropriate Salary. - 20points *

psw dependant and rlmt requirements

Post by bencan » Thu Feb 21, 2013 12:10 am

Hi, I am currently on a psw dependant visa. I have been working in the UK for 2+ years. I am at my current job for more than 6 months and my company wishes to sponsor me. Will they have to do a rlmt ? I still have another 10 months on my visa before it expires. Please advice. Thanks

Hi Everyone,
Sorry for posting my case on the same thread, but I have similar issue.
I am on Tier 1 and working for my current company for more than 1 year.
Tier 1 is due to expire in 30 March 2013.
My company has made application for tier 2 on my behalf and without RLMT.
could you please let me know if this RLMT is Mandatory to get approval for my tier 2.
The company is a multinational company and have more than 250 permanent employees.
My current salary is 33k.
could you please advice if this is sufficient to get approval for Tier 2 with no RLMT submitted with the application.
your help is much appreciated.

Thanks & Regards,
Prashanth

Unless your (left unmentioned in your question) Tier 1 category is PSW, you will have to pass the RLMT.

Please don't drip-feed information. It's quite irritating! Also, if you do intend to make a long dialogue out of something that can be said in one post, you should begin your own thread rather than hi-jacking someone else's. Good luck.
