Resident Labour Market Test

Post by seether » Sun Aug 01, 2010 7:08 pm

Do work permit holders (old system) require a resident labour market test if they want to continue in the same job at the same company when they apply for tier 2?

Thankx Sush but the fallacy of tier 2 comes to bear when it comes to workpermit holders because the link and the whole site mentions transition etc. but makes no mention/provision as to whether a resident labour market test has to be carried out by the employer in the process of attaining the COS for a work permit migrant in the same job, same employer and extending under transition. However, it states clearly in the guidance that no labour market test is required for tier 2 applicants (approved in the past) extending for the same job and same employer. The whole system is weak.
