Advice about Biometric

Post by sainird » Thu Jan 15, 2015 5:14 pm

Dear All,

One of the relation's friend was on student visa since long in UK and extened it twice without need of Biometric ever which was not an requirement at that stage. Thereafter her Tier1 visa was refused and while during appeal process of tier1 case she tried another application for student visa (which was alredy expired) where she gave biometric but after five months student application was declared invalid and fees returned by HO stating she already have had an existing appeal(tier1) pending so can't make another application.

My only enquiry is whether biometric details of her are still on HO records or been discarded as application was treated invalid and never actioned fully. Also would she need to disclose biometric part of her student visa in any future application.

Thank you in Advance.

Biometrics stay on the system regardless of the outcome of a visa application.
If they are worried about it being treated as a refusal it is not a refusal. The fact that they will have a tier 1 refusal is enough for many institutes to refuse a CAS.
They will need to search a fair bit to get a CAS and even then they will get grilled at interview because of the tier 1 refusal.
