changing course in same HEI

Hi,

I have requested to change a course in the same instuite. The expiry date of new course is same as old one.

My university is saying that I do not need to take any action as the course expiry stays same so we will internally change it and report to UKVI and thats all.

But my research tells that As a Tier 4 Migrant I must report to UKVI immediatelly after a course change.

1. Can somebody confirm what needs to be done (report the change to UKVI or should not take any action)?
