Do they count the cap if I shift to Tier4 dependant?

Post by tigris123 » Wed Dec 03, 2014 12:04 am

Hello,

I have been in the country for 7 years, that is PhD (4 years) then PSW (2 years) then dependant on tier-4 for another year, and now moving as a tier-4 dependant for another 4 years. The issue is that, I can find no regulation anyway or previous post discussing this matter. Will they (UKVI) have a reason to refuse my visa claiming I have been under Tier-4 for too long? the cap is on students, but I am not a student anymore but rather a dependant of a tier-4.

Any input will be much appreciated

The cap applies only to the actual tier 4 applicant not dependents.
