Am going to land in UK on 18th September to start my studies at Cardiff university...what is the amount of money that should be shown in my bank statement when i clear immigration?is there a 28 day period for that as well? pls reply.

there is no such requirement to show any statement for any period of time at the immigration but in the ideal world, you are expected to have access to those maintenance funds throughout the first year atleast.

u have to show enough money for your fee + maintenance which you can calculate using this document.

This money should be held in your account for 28 days or more. I suggest u refer to the document above.
