Indefinite leave to remain (ILR) for students

Hello to all of my friends,
one of my friend was calling me yesterday and he was telling me that government is going to be change the Indefinite leave to remain (ILR) rule for students from 10 years to 8 years.
is that true?
some body may help me on this issue.

All I can say is that I have not heard of that before, and I would be extremely surprised if the new Government were to introduce that change.

some one is pulling ur legs mate ..... tht probably ll be last thing tories do ... Feel urself lucky if they won’t scrape the 10 year long residence.
