UK Tier 1 General to Student Visa

hi,

i am currently on Tier 1 General visa which expires in April next year.
would it be possible to change to a Student visa and further extend my stay in the UK?

Is there any reason why you wouldn't want to apply for ilr?

No, switching from Tier 1(G) to Tier 4 (G) is not allowed (245ZX(b)).

But you may apply for entry clearance from outside UK as a Tier 4 (G) migrant.

@grace4drace - due to change in circumstance my income has dropped significantly and i will not be able to get enough points for ILR

i just need to extend my stay for 4 more months as after that i will have completed 10 yrs in uk.
any advice on how i can fill this gap?

i can only see options of switching either to Tier-1(General) OR Tier-1(Entrepreneur) visa
when is your 5 yr completing via tier-1(general) ? can't you somehow manage to earn more through part-time orsomething to meet earning criteria?
You still got time till April to work out something for sure
