Unbearable Delay

Post by Teerak » Mon Mar 16, 2015 10:58 pm

Dear All,
I made an application in September 2014 for tier 4, gave my biometrics same month, submitted additional documents in October, 2014, did my interview in December 2014 and still waiting for my extension. It's over 6 months now and it's becoming unbearable, I need my passport to write my exam in June as I am doing CFA, how do I explain this to UKVI, I'm going crazy as I cannot write my exams without my passport. Please advice. :(

@ Teerak, write a letter to HO explaining your situation and also follow it up with a phone call.
Meanwhile try to explain to your school that HO might not send your passport before your exam and request that they give you an alternative way to proof your identity other than with passport.

If you have a driving licence, you can ask if thats acceptable for your exam.
The key to success is knowledge and hardwork, and to have faith.

Thank you for the advise, I will do just that. But the exam is conducted by CFA institute not my school.

I know your problem is now solved, but for what it's worth, while an application is pending you can request temporary return of your passport for ID purposes. Not for travel obviously.

See http://ukcisa.org.uk/International-Stud ... you-apply/
I do not give immigration advice. I refer you to Immigration Rules, guidance, other online content and to your sponsor.
