Wife-No rights to work and 1 year old Baby-work permitted

Post by Sha123 » Wed Oct 22, 2014 7:23 am

Hi guys;

I am a university post graduate and received extension for the 2nd year.

I received 20 hours work right on BRP; but my wife's BRP says No autherised to work. However by 1 year old baby's born here BRP says Work Permited !

Do you think it is a mistake of them or they did as a reason.

They have granted for another 9 months to finished the programe.

Any comments plz

Thanks

38.  If you are the family member of a Tier 4 (General) Student, if the main applicant’s grant of leave is for less than 12 months you will not be allowed to work whilst in the UK, unless the main applicant is a Government Sponsored Student.

@ Sha123, your wife's case seem to be a mistake by the HO. But the work permit which is on your 1 year old baby BRP is a standard mistake which HO have always put on children BRP if the main applicant has got a work permit.

Why don't you call HO directly and ask why they didn't give your wife right to work.
The key to success is knowledge and hardwork, and to have faith.
