driving license on visit visa

I got driving license in Marry land ten years ago on B1/B2 visa? Getting driving license is illegal? Is it true?
Please guide me as i have to apply for visit visa this year.

Maryland is state of USA which borders Delaware, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

Ah! I knew where Maryland is...but was confused by Marry land. :? Surely when you applied for a US driving license they authorities were aware you were applying as a visitor not as a resident?
