Overseas Bus Rep opening LTD as Director

Hello Everybody.

I am an overseas business rep who is employed by a US company here in the UK>
This is a small mom and pop business and we were unable to open a bank account in the UK for the business. I have been advised to open a limited company LTD in the UK where the sole shareholder is the US Company and I would act as a Director. I am asking if this is ok with the kind of visa I hold. Accountants say yes but I thought it best to check in on the forum as well.
