UK Citizen marrying US Citizen in the US

Hi there,

I was hoping someone would be able to provide me with more information, the rest of the web appears to be lacking in this area.

My girl and I are looking to get married in June of next year, I will be entering on a B-2 visa and a month after we'll tie the knot; my main question is, once we are married, will I be eligable to stay in the US while I wait for my Petition for Alien Relative to be approved?
