Does both parent needs to be citizen for the child ( born outside UK to apply for citizenship ).

Situation - one parent citizen UK ; second parent IRL ; Child less than 18 years holding ILR

No, both parentsdon't have to be British.

One parent must already be British, or applying at the same time as the child and the other parent must have ILR.
