Thanks to everyone in this forum for contributing useful and helpful information. I would like to briefly share my experience.
My appointment was supposed to be at 1.20pm but I arrived at 1130am and the security allowed me to go in.
I got my ticket number as soon as I got in and I was in the queue behind two other applicants. Waited for about 20 minutes because only two counters were open for the application submission. My ticket for called for collection at 1pm.
Ideal for driver is a carpark located between Whitegift Shopping Centre and Sainsbury, its only £3.50 per entry on weekend.
Staff from security, reception, biometric and caseworker were very friendly.
Documents submitted:
1. Current and Previous passport
2. BRP
3. Salary Confirmation from Employer
4. Bank Statement
5. LIUK Pass Notification Letter
6. expired IELTS certificate
7. PBS Calculator printout
8. Set (o) APR/2014 form and photographs
9. UK Absence letter from Employer.
10. Payment sheet and appointment confirmation email
I was paying the old fee but submitted new form which was filled in a day before the appointment.

Hi,
congratulations once again and I assume you kept an expired IELTS certificate and was wondering is there any minimum score on it to be eligible for ILR as I guess my IELTS score expired in 2008 (I got a band 6.0 ).any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

The minimum score is 4.0. If you had submitted the IELTS when you applied for Tier 1, then you should have met the minimum score.

Hi travelite8,
Congratulations!!!
I had similar experience as yours today and my application has been successful as well.
Just wandering the letter they issued says your Biometric will be posted in 7 days but doesn't say that 'Your application has been successful' is it the same for you?
Thanks

You can use the IELTS cert to show your English language requirement. Or maybe provide your degree certification if taught in english.

Thank you.
Employer letter confirming the salary is not compulsory if you are able to provide another evidence to support the earnings. i.e. Payslips.
Employer letter confirming the UK absence might be a compulsory, I am not sure about it. Anyway my employer could provide it so I requested for it. Otherwise I wouldnt submit that letter.

I am sure you will find the template in other threads in this forum. My letter is simply mentioning the paid leave I took for travelling made outside the UK.
