I really don't think calling too many times expedites the process in any way guys, (I might be wrong)..I think the entire process is just way to random.

Hey everyone!
Thank you all for sharing your experience. This forum really helped me staying sane and made this awful process much easier so thank you very much!

I've received my COA couple of days ago (yay!). I called HO about six weeks after I applied and they said my application hasn't been processed yet. Then I called again last Monday and they said the COA has been sent to me on that day. Anyway I'm pretty sure calling them did not make any difference.

Here's my timeline:

EEA2 sent: 07.08.2012
EEA2 received: 08.08.2012
COA: 23.10.2012 dated 21.10.2012 (Sunday?! yeah right)
RC: ...

Good luck to all of you!

hi guys hope some one will know help understand what is going on with my case. i applied 3 months ago for a residence card just like every one , and a week ago i got my COA and it says that i am allowed to work , and it was sent to my solicitor cause i applied using a solicitor .but today i got a letter from the home office that says am liable to be detained and that i have to go and sign in and it came from a place in hounslow , i am not so surprised because 2 years ago i applied for a different visa and got refused and asked to sign there . what do you think guys did they got confused or i am in troubles.

kleo23 wrote:THanks for your support Jotter i have sent my application with a emigration laywer i done everything possible i call everyday the home office i sent it to them 2 offers for jobs that i lost because of the eea2 because the employers are suspicious when they see that the months have been passed and you didn't got the RC i contacted Solvit i got the confirmation that they will see the case and they will let me know but until know nothing :(
I seem to recall that you can make a case against the UKBA for loss of potential income if they have failed to process your case within six months. I'm sure I read this on this forum somewhere. Can any moderator/guru help out on that?

Kleo, what is your immigration lawyer doing or saying regarding this? If they are still involved, they should be raising hell. Have you discussed your case with the lawyer since it went over 6 months?
yeah i speak with her almost everyday she suggest to take legal action and to make a claim for financial damages during these months i sent many supporting documents ,when the six months elapsed the laywer sent to them a letter and she asked from them to consider my case urgent and to send to us a answer within 2 weeks but seems like we talk with a wall i didnt heard nothing from them just the standard answer everyday when i call them (IS NOT BEEN COMPLETED )all these weeks we will sent a lot of complaints i contacted today and the MP I explained the situation if they will not solve the problem i will go to the court i wish guys that none of you to have my luck they have affected my life by 7 months to dont speak for the financial damage

Why are applications not resolved in the order in which they are recieved? Why are march applicants still waiting and a few of the June applicants have already got their RC.

i have one friend he got it in one month and 20 days the RC before 2 years ago, my case is not so complicate to solve but the didn't process the application with order any way guys i called today like everyday and they closed the phone in my face i called the second time and i told to the lady can you make me one favor i told the name of the previos college of her and i told tell to her by my part to go to raise in the hell and finaly they didn't gave information but at least i vented for the bad behavior of them against me .i write because i want to advice all you guys thet you are in the same situation with we and you keeping the waiting to contact urgently yours MP they can to contact UKBA in yours behalf i wrote to MP 2 days ago they send to me amail just now they contacted the UKBA and the UKBA to justify themselves they told that the time to issue a EEA2 is six months but they calculate from the date of issue of the COA not from the date of your application (this fact is not true the f.. lie)regard my application they told that is in the final stages and in the begins of november i will have a answer but by what i understood i will get my RC because my MP wrote in the email if you will not recieve your residence in the begin of november feel free to contact to us again .i will write again guys if i will have any update but in my case solvit doesn't was helpful for this reason i suggest to all you guys to contacts yours MP .

Hi samir

I called before I got COA, requesting one . Different operators kept telling same thing- we can not request COA, but finally I got through to the one who requested it for me and it came within 5 working days , just as she said. So I think it did help in my case....

I'm so very happy to be able to say I received my CoA today :)
I went through so much trouble for this damn piece of paper, it felt anti-climatic to open a piece of mail that I thought was just a bank statement but it turned out it was so much more. It's a big weight off my shoulders!!

I applied Oct. 15th and received it Oct. 26th. This was my second application. I'd applied once before but had my whole package sent back after 2 months citing lack of evidence. I had to travel for work so I asked to be expedited in my cover letter, it seems maybe they listened. Or maybe they felt bad for me because they had already turned me down once already. Or maybe I just got really lucky. Who knows..
Now to ask for my passports back and hope the RC comes soon!

Good luck to everyone waiting.
