Accommodation letter draft - feedback appreciated

Post by ball1333 » Mon Jul 16, 2007 3:29 pm

Hi,

I would be very grateful for feedback regarding whether the draft accommodation letter below is sufficient. I knew my friend who has offered me accommodation had one American parent and one British parent, but I didn't realize he was not naturalized in the UK. I know his citizenship doesn't necessarily make a difference, but I'm not sure whether and/or how it should be handled in the accommodation letter.

Is any important information missing from the draft below?

Looking forward to everyone's input!

Thanks,
ball1333

Draft of letter -
"Dear Entry Clearance Team:

I understand that my friend ball1333 has been successful in her application for a UK Highly Skilled Migrant Programme visa and will be seeking Entry Clearance to the UK. I would like to confirm that I have offered Miss ball1333 accommodation at my residence at [address], for her full use until she finds her own housing. I am an American citizen (passport number XXXXXXXXXX) with permanent resident status in the UK, where I have lived since 1967. I am employed as a senior [job] at [employer] where I have worked for over 17 years; my current annual income is in excess of £40,000.

Please feel free to contact me on [phone] or by e-mail at [e-mail address], if you require any further clarification."

Looks good to me. And strangely, a lot like the one I used too!

Good luck with the EC application.

i will suggest that he sends you at least one copy of his most recent utility bill as evidence that he resides at the mentioned address
