How applications are processed in the ICU by BIA

Post by jes2jes » Thu Dec 06, 2007 1:21 pm

Have you ever wondered the process your application goes through when it reaches the BIA?

If your application is taking too long for consideration, you would find your answer here and if it is decided quicker too, your answer is here too.

As a side note, I am going to attach the link to the whole document (52 pages) which would be good for the Lawyers on this forum when making representation for their clients (I am thinking of Victoria and Amanda  )

I know you say your stance is right, but all I can tell you is the evidence of what has happened with several of my clients.

And anecdotal evidence from 2003 is not really relevant to now!

Interesting post though, thanks.

You are welcome my dear. All points noted as usual but I guess you would be interested in the Quick Win Categories of the document. I will see if I can find the updated version and post. If you have it too you can send it to me as a courtesy of our 'friendship' on this board!

To be honest, I am not sure if there is such a thing as a 'quick win' these days. But of course, if I come across anything I will certainly let you know.

Well, it is possible. I have thrawled the internet and could not find it. I thought I saw in the notes somewhere that this was made available to Immigration Consultants and Lawyers then. It is possible it is an internal document circulated to ICU Staff only (FYEO)!
